ABSTRACT
Based on the Research conducted in Antofagasta, Chile, an investigative project was developed for the productive network found in SMEs located in the south of the Aburrá Valley, Colombia. Both studies were compared and similarities and differences were found between these two regions concerning SMEs. The outcome of this comparison turned out to be of great interest for others researchers and teachers, who openly agreed on the importance of replicating the investigation in other regions of Latin America.
