ABSTRACT
The aim of this paper is to perform a conceptual synthesis of the fundamental attribution error, integrating different perspectives of analysis to assess its influence and importance in the strategic decision processes. This article develops the role that the fundamental attribution error plays on the strategic decision process at an upper management level.

The objective of this article is to integrate both the fundamental attribution error and the cognitive perspective into the strategic decision process to foster comprehension and control of the fundamental attribution error in upper management levels, focusing on the area of human resources. We propose that individual differences in the fundamental attribution error at upper management levels are an essential element to explain the efficiency of the strategic decision processes.
